Matt Fiott is a British writer who had stints in France and Argentina before washing ashore in Hong Kong and freelancing for WestEast. While writing this issue’s Dreams in Film article he revealed how his fascination with movies and travel began. “When I was a kid I got hold of a black and white TV set. Late at night I’d hide under my blankets and inhale movies set in glamorous, vibrant, dangerous worlds that seemed incredibly exotic to a young kid from a small town. They got me curious and awakened a passion for exploring that, fortunately enough, has led to me winding up here”.
